Drennan Acolyte Plus Float 15ft 4.57m 3-18g Float Rod Fuji SiC Cork Handle

Drennan Acolyte Plus Float 15ft is a high-performance float rod designed for anglers who demand a slim, lightweight blank without sacrificing power. With a length of 4.57 m and a casting weight range of 3–18 g, this rod is ideal for presenting larger floats and for targeting bigger fish in a variety of stillwater and river situations.

The rod features a progressive action, meaning the upper section of the blank bends smoothly under load while the lower section retains a powerful reserve. This progressive curve absorbs the lunges and surges of hard-fighting fish, allowing you to use finer hooklengths with greater confidence and reducing the risk of hook pulls or break-offs.

The blank is built around a Fuji reel seat, which provides a secure, wobble-free mounting for your reel and ensures that the reel stays firmly in place during aggressive fights. The rod is also equipped with Fuji SiC guides, known for their smooth, hard-wearing ceramic inserts that reduce line friction and help to protect your line during long casts and retrieves.

Finished with a cork handle, the Acolyte Plus offers a classic, comfortable grip that feels warm in the hand and provides excellent control in both wet and dry conditions. The cork handle also helps to keep the overall weight of the rod down, contributing to its balanced, responsive feel.

Whether you are fishing a waggler on a commercial fishery, trotting a stick float down a river, or targeting specimen fish with larger floats, the Drennan Acolyte Plus Float 15ft delivers the sensitivity and power needed to fish effectively. Its slim profile and progressive action make it a versatile choice for anglers who want one rod that can handle a wide range of float fishing tactics.
