Patriot DryGuard Fishing Jacket is a reliable, waterproof and windproof jacket built for fishing and active outdoor use in demanding weather conditions. Whether you are standing on a windswept reservoir bank, boat fishing in drizzle or hiking to a remote river, the DryGuard is designed to keep the weather on the outside while you concentrate on the water.

The outer shell is made from tough 100% nylon Taslon fabric with additional reinforcement panels. Taslon is a densely woven nylon that offers a good balance of light weight and abrasion resistance, making it a practical choice for a jacket that is worn in the open and frequently brushed against bankside vegetation, boat gunwales and rucksacks.

With a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm and fully taped seams, the DryGuard is built to cope with sustained rain rather than a brief shower. The sealed seams are particularly important, as stitched seams are the most common entry point for water in a waterproof garment. A breathability rating of 5,000 g/m²/24 h allows moisture vapour generated by the body to escape, which helps reduce the clammy feeling that builds up during active walking or repeated casting.

The fabric is finished with an environmentally friendly BIONIC-FINISH ECO coating that repels water and dirt from the surface. This encourages rain to bead and roll off the outer shell, helping the fabric stay lighter for longer and making mud and bankside debris easier to brush away.

Practical details are aimed squarely at anglers. Ripstop reinforcement panels add strength at high-wear points, while the shoulders and elbows are additionally reinforced to withstand the abrasion that comes from carrying bags, shouldering rods and resting arms on hard surfaces. A breathable mesh lining improves air circulation next to the body, and the four roomy pockets with water-resistant zips give secure storage for tackle, keys, phone and other essentials.

The jacket closes with a sturdy two-way water-resistant zip, useful when you need extra freedom of movement at the hem while sitting or crouching. The adjustable hood and fleece-lined collar help seal out wind and rain around the neck, and the adjustable hem and Velcro cuffs let you fine-tune the fit to reduce draughts.
