Velniukas Ice Fishing Rig 28–56g – Perch Winter Fishing System

The Velniukas ice fishing rig is a popular and highly effective winter setup for perch ice fishing. It works by tapping the weight on the bottom, creating vibrations and sediment clouds that attract perch from a distance.

As the rig is lifted and dropped, the hooks attached to loops or the main line move freely, imitating small prey. This combination of sound, movement, and visual attraction makes the Velniukas especially effective when perch are inactive.
