Oat Hook No. 5 Weighted Bait Hook for Chub Fishing 0.7g Gold Silver Bronze

Oat Hook No. 5 for Chub Fishing is a weighted bait hook designed for presenting bread and similar soft baits in flowing water. The hook is fitted with a galvanised weight, which helps to hold the bait down on the bottom and keeps the presentation stable in the current.

The weighted construction makes this hook a practical choice when fishing rivers where a light, natural bait would otherwise be swept away from the feeding zone. By adding a small amount of weight directly at the hook, the bait sinks quickly and stays where it is placed, allowing a more controlled and effective presentation.

The hook is available in three colour options: gold, silver and bronze. These finishes allow anglers to match the hook to the water clarity, light conditions and the preferences of the fish on the day.

With a hook size of 5 and a weight of 0.7 g, this is a versatile option for targeting chub and other coarse fish in rivers. The compact weight and hook combination is well suited to float and bottom fishing methods where a slow, natural bait presentation is required.

This hook is particularly useful for fishing bread on the river, a classic approach for chub. The weighted hook helps to keep the bait anchored on the bottom, reducing the need for additional split shot and allowing a more delicate rig.
