Iron Wolf Salsa 6g Ice Fishing Lure 65mm UV Coated Perch Pike Zander Jigging

Iron Wolf Salsa 6g is a specialised ice fishing lure designed for active jigging techniques. With a length of 65 mm and a weight of 6 g, this compact lure is engineered to perform effectively in cold water conditions, making it a reliable choice for anglers targeting perch, pike and zander through the ice.

The lure's standout feature is its ability to glide sideways when the rod tip is lifted. This gliding action creates a natural, fluttering presentation that mimics distressed prey, triggering aggressive strikes from predatory fish. The movement is particularly effective in the confined environment of ice fishing, where subtle lure action can make the difference between a blank session and a successful catch.

Built with a high-quality body and detailed paintwork, the Iron Wolf Salsa is finished with UV coating. This UV-reactive finish enhances visibility in low-light conditions and under the ice, where natural light penetration is limited. The UV coating helps the lure stand out, increasing its appeal to fish that rely on visual cues when hunting.

The lure is equipped with a strong steel ring at the attachment point, ensuring a secure connection to your line or leader. This robust construction provides confidence when battling larger fish, as the ring resists bending or breaking under pressure. The sharp treble hook features a coloured silicone accent, which not only adds a visual attractor but also helps to hold the hook in a favourable position during the jigging motion.

Measuring 65 mm in length and weighing 6 g, the Salsa is ideally suited for vertical jigging through ice holes. Its weight allows for controlled descent and precise jigging action, while the compact profile appeals to a range of predatory species. Whether you are targeting perch in shallow bays or zander in deeper channels, this lure offers a versatile solution for ice fishing enthusiasts.

For best results, use the Iron Wolf Salsa with a light ice fishing rod and a sensitive bite indication system. The lure's gliding action is best activated with short, sharp lifts of the rod tip, followed by pauses that allow the lure to flutter and entice following fish. This technique is widely used in European ice fishing and has proven effective for both perch and zander.
