Marmax Select 1kg Roach Groundbait Dark Bream Skimmer River Stillwater

Marmax Select 1kg Roach Groundbait is a dark-coloured mix developed specifically for roach fishing. Its deep, natural tone helps it blend into the bottom of rivers, canals and stillwaters, allowing you to feed confidently without spooking the shoals you are trying to attract. Whether you are targeting roach on a running river or a quiet commercial lake, this groundbait is designed to draw fish into your swim and hold them there.

The mix is rich in natural ingredients, a characteristic that helps keep fish feeding in the baited area for longer. Rather than providing a quick burst of attraction, the composition is intended to create a lasting feeding zone, so you can build a swim steadily and keep fish interested throughout a session.

Marmax Select is suitable for both river and stillwater fishing. On flowing water it can be used to create a feeding trail that carries scent downstream, while on lakes and ponds it works as a conventional balled or cupped-in groundbait. This versatility makes it a practical choice for anglers who fish a variety of venues with the same mix.

The groundbait can be mixed with other groundbaits and supplemented with additional additives. This allows you to fine-tune the mix to the conditions of the day, adjusting texture, attraction or feed content to suit the species and venue you are targeting. It is a flexible base that can be adapted rather than a fixed, one-purpose blend.

Marmax uses extrusion technology in the production of its groundbaits. This process helps preserve easily digestible proteins and energy sources within the mixture, so the finished groundbait retains nutritional value that fish can readily use. The result is a mix that not only attracts fish but also offers them something worth feeding on.

The recipe includes maize, biscuits, soya, hemp seed, peanuts, linseed and food-grade flavour extracts. These ingredients are combined to create a groundbait with a natural, food-based appeal rather than an artificial, overly aggressive scent profile. The inclusion of seeds and nuts adds particle content that can help hold fish in the swim as they root around the baited area.

Supplied in a 1 kg bag, Marmax Select is a convenient size for regular sessions. It is a dark groundbait aimed at roach and other silverfish, and it can also be used when targeting other peaceful species that respond to a natural, dark feed. For anglers who want a reliable, adaptable groundbait for river and stillwater roach fishing, this mix offers a practical solution.
