The bait itself remains securely mounted on the hair rig or bait spike while the outer coating softens and gradually disperses around the hookbait. The carefully selected colour combinations have been heavily tested in both heavily stocked venues and natural lakes with outstanding results.

Thanks to its extremely high buoyancy, the bait lifts both the hook and bait spike approximately 7–8 cm above the feeder, making it especially effective over silty bottoms where standard hookbaits may sink into soft sediment.
