Sportex Competition Carp CS-5 Spod Rod 3.96m 5.5lb Carp Spodding Rod

€199.00

Sportex Competition Carp CS-5 Spod Rod 3.96m 5.5lb is a top-quality spod rod built for carp anglers who demand maximum accuracy and efficiency when baiting up at range. Designed as a dedicated spodding tool, it combines an advanced blank construction with premium components to deliver reliable casting performance and the sensitivity needed to work effectively with spods and marker floats.

The blank is made from high-grade Japanese carbon and features a semi-parabolic action. This gives the rod a fast, responsive feel while retaining remarkable strength, so it can confidently handle the demands of heavy spodding and the challenges posed by large fish. The fast action and substantial power allow long, precise casts even with heavier payloads, making it easier to place bait accurately at distance.

A comfortable duplon EVA handle provides a secure, non-slip grip and helps reduce fatigue during long sessions on the bank. The rod is fitted with SiC guides, which are hard-wearing and help minimise line friction for smoother casting. It also features a TVS reel seat that holds the reel firmly in place and contributes to the rod's overall balanced feel.

With its 3.96 m length and 5.5 lb test curve, the Sportex Competition Carp CS-5 is aimed at carp anglers who need a dependable spodding rod for accurate bait placement. The manufacturer offers a 10-year warranty on the rod blank, underlining confidence in its build quality.
