Korda Basix Coated Hooklink 10m Braided Coated Hooklink Line 18lb 25lb

Korda Basix Coated Hooklink is a 10 m spool of coated braided hooklink material designed for carp and specimen anglers who want a reliable, low-visibility hooklink that can be adapted to the swim in front of them. The material features a tough matt coating that helps protect the braid against abrasion while keeping the hooklink subtle on the lakebed.

The coated construction gives you two presentations in one material. Fished as it comes, the coating stiffens the hooklink and helps it sit cleanly, which can be useful when you want a neater rig presentation. If you prefer a softer, more natural movement, the coating can be stripped back to expose the supple braided core, allowing the hooklink to behave in a more flexible and less conspicuous way.

For venues with snags, weed, gravel bars or other abrasive features, Korda recommends using the hooklink without stripping the coating. The intact coating acts as a protective layer over the braid, helping to reduce the risk of damage and fish loss in demanding situations. This makes Basix Coated Hooklink a practical choice for anglers fishing both clean and challenging waters.

The braided core provides a strong, dependable hooklink material, while the matt finish helps reduce glare and unwanted visual disturbance. Available in brown and in two breaking strains, 18 lb and 25 lb, it can be matched to different rig requirements, target sizes and fishing situations.

Supplied on a 10 m spool, Korda Basix Coated Hooklink is easy to cut to length and tie into a wide range of coated hooklink rigs. Whether you strip the coating for a softer presentation or leave it intact for extra protection, it offers versatile performance for carp and specimen fishing.
