FL Sakana Hantay Ultra Feeder Rod 3.30-3.90m 60-120g Bottom Fishing Rod

FL Sakana Hantay Ultra Feeder is a dedicated bottom fishing rod built for targeting fish in stillwater venues and in flowing rivers alike. It is a versatile feeder rod designed for anglers who want one reliable tool for both close-range and long-distance work, whether fishing a commercial lake, a gravel pit or a steady river swim.

The blank is made from high-quality carbon fibre, which keeps the rod light in the hand while giving it the backbone needed to cast loaded feeders accurately. The carbon construction also helps transmit information from the lakebed back to the handle, so bites and the movement of a hooked fish are felt clearly rather than muted.

The rod is rated for casting weights from 60 g to 120 g. This broad casting range means it can handle light feeders for wary fish in clear, shallow water as well as heavier loaded feeders when you need to hold bottom in a current or reach a distant feature. Being able to cast both light and heavy feeders to a chosen spot gives you real flexibility when the swim dictates the approach.

A key feature of this feeder rod is its set of three interchangeable quiver tips of differing sensitivity and flexibility. Swapping tips lets you tune the rod to the conditions and the presentation. With the yellow-green tip fitted, the rod becomes stiffer and less sensitive, which is useful when fishing in a strong current where a soft tip would be constantly dragged round by the flow. With the green or red tip fitted, the rod becomes softer and considerably more sensitive, making even the most delicate bites easier to spot.

At just 270 g, the rod is relatively light for its class. That low weight reduces fatigue during long sessions and helps the rod transfer the thump of a bite and the pull of a fighting fish cleanly through the blank, turning the playing of a good fish into a genuinely enjoyable experience.

The large rod guides make fishing easier in practice. Their generous internal diameter allows knots and leader connections to pass through smoothly and helps prevent tangles and snags catching on the rings, which is particularly welcome when using shock leaders or heavier rigs.

This bottom fishing rod is available in 3.30 m, 3.60 m and 3.90 m lengths, so you can choose the version that best suits your style of fishing. If you regularly fish at longer distances, the longer rod gives you extra reach and better line control at range. If you fish closer in, or if your casting position is cramped and awkward, the shorter rod is easier to handle and more comfortable to use.

The cork handle sits comfortably in the hand and offers a secure, warm grip in all weathers. Combined with its light weight and adaptable tip system, this rod suits both the beginner looking for a dependable first feeder rod and the experienced angler wanting a versatile addition to the holdall.
