Handmade Smelt Rig 6 Hooks Size 8 Glow Oats 1.5m Fudo Hooks Swivel Snap

Handmade Smelt Rig is a Lithuanian-made, hand-tied smelt fishing system designed for anglers targeting smelt through the ice or in open water. Built around a proven oat-shaped lure pattern, this rig combines bright glow-in-the-dark attraction with sharp Fudo hooks to create a highly effective presentation for smelt fishing.

The rig features glow-in-the-dark oat lures that charge in light and emit a bright glow in dark or low-visibility conditions. This makes the rig particularly effective for smelt fishing in murky water, at night, or through ice where light penetration is limited. The glowing presentation helps attract smelt from a distance and encourages them to strike.

Each oat lure is fitted with a sharp Fudo hook in size 8. Fudo hooks are known for their reliable hooking performance and sharp points, which help ensure solid hooksets when smelt bite. The rig contains 6 hooks in total, providing multiple hooking opportunities and increasing the chances of connecting with active fish.

The entire system is tied on high-quality fishing line, chosen for its strength, knot reliability and resistance to abrasion. The rig measures 1.5 m in length, making it suitable for a range of smelt fishing setups, from ice fishing rods to light spinning or float rigs.

A swivel with snap is included for attaching a weight. This allows anglers to quickly and securely add the appropriate sinker for the fishing conditions, whether fishing deep water, strong currents or through ice. The swivel helps reduce line twist and keeps the rig fishing correctly.

This smelt rig is ideal for anglers who want a ready-tied, effective presentation without the hassle of building their own rigs. It is suitable for ice fishing, open water smelt fishing and light bottom fishing where smelt are present. The combination of glow-in-the-dark lures, sharp Fudo hooks and quality line makes it a practical choice for both beginners and experienced smelt anglers.
