Legendary Russian Phosphor Smelt Rig "Batonas" 2cm 0.15g Sharp Hooks Ice Fishing

Legendary Russian Phosphor Smelt Rig "Batonas" is a specialised terminal rig designed for smelt fishing, particularly through the ice. Manufactured in Russia, this phosphorescent rig has earned a reputation among anglers for its reliable performance when targeting smelt in cold-water conditions.

The rig features sharp hooks that are ready to use straight from the packet, helping to ensure a secure hook hold when smelt are feeding cautiously. The bright phosphorescent finish glows in low-light conditions, making the rig easier to see and adding a visual attractor that can draw fish towards the bait in murky or deep water.

With a compact length of 2 cm and a very light weight of 0.15 g, the "Batonas" rig is suited to delicate presentations. The low weight allows it to be fished on light tackle without disturbing the natural movement of the bait, which is important when smelt are finicky and easily spooked.

This rig is particularly effective for ice fishing and for open-water smelt fishing where a small, glowing presentation is required. The phosphorescent material charges in natural or artificial light and then emits a soft glow, providing an edge during dawn, dusk or under the ice.

Whether you are a seasoned smelt angler or trying this style of fishing for the first time, the "Batonas" phosphor rig offers a simple, effective solution. Its combination of sharp hooks, luminous finish and lightweight construction makes it a practical addition to any smelt angler's tackle box.
