Phosphorescent Smelt Rig Eyes 0.22g 1.7cm Red White Ice Fishing Lure Bait

Phosphorescent Smelt Rig is a specialised terminal tackle item designed for smelt fishing. These small, highly visible lures are built to attract fish even in low-light conditions, making them a practical choice for anglers targeting smelt through the ice or in open water.

The rig features a phosphorescent finish that glows in the dark after being charged by natural or artificial light. This glow effect is particularly useful during night sessions or in murky water, where it helps fish locate the bait more easily. The addition of painted eyes enhances the realistic appearance and provides an extra visual trigger for predatory fish.

Each rig weighs just 0.22 g and measures 1.7 cm in length, offering a subtle presentation that suits finicky smelt. The lightweight construction allows for delicate jigging and natural movement in the water, while the compact size matches the typical prey size of smelt.

Available in two colour options: Red and White. Both colours are effective in different light conditions, giving anglers the flexibility to adapt to changing environments. The red variant can be particularly useful in stained water, while the white version excels in clear or bright conditions.

These phosphorescent smelt rigs are ideal for ice fishing and vertical jigging. They can be fished singly or as part of a multi-rig setup, depending on local regulations and personal preference. The glowing eyes and body make them a reliable choice for anglers seeking to increase their catch rates when targeting smelt.
