Pontoon21 Chaos 72F DR Floating Crankbait 72mm 9.8g Deep Diving Lure

Pontoon21 Chaos 72F DR is a floating crankbait from the Japanese-designed Pontoon21 range, built for anglers who want a compact, hard-working lure that can be fished deep and worked aggressively. The name Chaos refers to the lively, unpredictable-looking action of the lure rather than any lack of control, and it is a fitting description of a bait that combines strong side-to-side wobbling with a pronounced rolling motion.

The body shape has been deliberately designed to support this action, while a special internal balancing system keeps the lure stable and predictable throughout the retrieve. The result is a crankbait that feels lively in the water but remains easy to read, allowing you to work it confidently along structure, over drop-offs and through deeper water.

One of the key features of the Chaos 72F DR is its TMB (Tungsten Moving Balls) long-cast system. A moving tungsten ball shifts inside the body during the cast, helping to improve casting distance and stability, then settles to support the lure's action on the retrieve. This makes the Chaos 72F DR a practical choice when you need to reach deeper water or cover a lot of ground from the bank.

The lure also produces a distinct sound thanks to the balls housed in a special chamber inside the body. This rattle effect adds another layer of attraction, helping predatory fish locate the lure in coloured water or low-light conditions. Combined with the strong wobbling and rolling action, it gives the Chaos 72F DR a noticeable presence in the water.

With a length of 72 mm and a weight of 9.8 g, this is a compact crankbait that suits a wide range of predator fishing. It is a floating model that dives to approximately 2.0–2.5 m, making it suitable for fishing deeper sections of rivers, lakes and reservoirs where fish are holding away from the surface.

The Chaos 72F DR is available in a wide selection of colours, including natural patterns, brighter attractor shades and special finishes. This allows you to match the lure to the water clarity, light conditions and the preferences of the fish on your venue.

Whether you are casting from the bank, working from a boat or exploring deeper water with a steady retrieve, the Pontoon21 Chaos 72F DR offers a combination of long-cast capability, lively action and rattle attraction in a compact floating crankbait.
