Westin MM Great Heron 18g Spinning Lure Pike Perch Trout Salmon 6.5cm

Westin MM Great Heron 18g is a spinning lure built on the Scandinavian lure-making tradition, developed and field-tested together with experienced anglers from Finland and Sweden. From the outset it proved to be a highly effective lure not only for pike, trout and salmon, but also for species such as chub, perch and zander. The Great Heron works effectively in both slow and fast current, and regardless of retrieve speed it delivers a very pronounced action that provokes strikes. It is no surprise that this lure has become one of the most popular lures in Scandinavia.

The lure is built with a lead-free construction, combining an ABS plastic body with zinc. This gives the Great Heron a durable, well-balanced body that stands up to repeated casting and the attention of predatory fish, while keeping the lure responsive in the water.

It is fitted with Japanese carbon steel hooks, chosen for their sharpness and reliable hooking performance. The hooks are attached using the "Stay On" double split ring system, which keeps the hook securely connected to the lure during aggressive takes and hard fighting fish.

Each lure is hand-painted and made in Scandinavia, giving the Great Heron a high-quality finish and a wide choice of proven fish-catching colour patterns. The 6.5 cm body and 18 g weight make it a compact yet castable lure that can be fished at distance and worked at a range of speeds.

The Great Heron is a versatile spinning lure suitable for rivers and stillwaters alike. Its strong action in current makes it a natural choice when targeting pike, trout and salmon, while its compact profile and lively movement also appeal to perch, chub and zander. Whether you are fishing a slow pool or a fast riffle, the Great Heron is designed to keep working and keep attracting attention.
