Savage Gear Unhooking Mat Padded Foam Fish Care Mat 120x65cm

Savage Gear Unhooking Mat is a padded foam unhooking mat designed for the safe handling and release of predatory fish. The soft, cushioned surface protects the fish from injury during unhooking, photography and release, making it an essential piece of fish care equipment for any serious predator angler.

The mat is constructed from a soft, gentle material that cushions the fish and helps prevent damage to scales, fins and the protective slime layer. This is particularly important when handling pike, zander and perch, where careful fish care directly supports successful catch and release.

A printed measuring ruler is incorporated into the mat, allowing you to record the length of your catch quickly and accurately without needing separate measuring equipment. This is a practical feature for anglers who log their catches or need to confirm whether a fish meets a size limit.

The mat folds down easily and compactly, so it takes up minimal space in your rucksack, carryall or boat locker. This makes it a convenient choice for mobile anglers who move between swims, as well as for boat fishing where storage space is limited.

With dimensions of 120 x 65 cm, the mat provides a generous surface area suitable for a wide range of predatory species. The padded foam construction offers a comfortable, protective resting place for the fish while you prepare your unhooking tools and camera.
