Preston ICS Short Elasticated Stem Kit 6cm Method Feeder Elastic 2pcs

Preston ICS Short Elasticated Stem Kit is a specialist elasticated stem kit designed for use with Method feeders. It is fitted inside the feeder stem and provides a controlled elastic buffer between the hooklink and the feeder, helping to absorb the powerful lunges and head shakes of hooked fish.

The kit is built around a short elasticated stem that sits neatly within the feeder tube. Because the elastic stretches under pressure, it acts as a shock absorber during the fight, reducing the risk of hook pulls and snapped hooklinks when a fish makes a sudden surge at close range. This is particularly useful when fishing tight to features, in shallow water or when using fine hooklinks where every bit of cushioning counts.

Each kit measures 6cm in length and is supplied in a pack of 2 pieces, giving you a spare or allowing you to set up more than one feeder. The short format keeps the presentation compact and is well suited to the ICS (Interchangeable Cartridge System) range of Method feeders, where components can be swapped quickly and easily on the bank.

Fitting the elasticated stem is straightforward: the stem is inserted into the feeder tube, and the hooklink is then attached to the elastic. Once set up, the system provides a semi-fixed or elasticated presentation that many anglers prefer for commercial carp and F1 fishing, where bites can be fierce and fish often bolt immediately after picking up the bait.

The elastic material is designed to cope with repeated stretching and compression without losing its properties, so it can be used session after session. The short length keeps the elastic response direct, meaning you stay in contact with the fish while still benefiting from the cushioning effect.

This kit is ideal for anglers who fish Method feeders on commercial fisheries and want a reliable, ready-made elasticated stem solution. It is equally useful for match anglers looking to fine-tune their setup and for pleasure anglers who want a simple way to add a shock-absorbing element to their feeder rig.
