Rapala Ice Claws Ice Picks - Essential Ice Fishing Safety Rescue Tool

Rapala Ice Claws are an essential safety tool for any angler heading out onto frozen lakes, rivers or reservoirs. Designed to help you get a grip on the ice and pull yourself out of the water should the ice break beneath you, these ice picks are a simple but potentially life-saving piece of winter fishing kit.

When fishing on ice, the difference between a safe return to the bank and a serious situation can come down to having the right equipment close at hand. The Rapala Ice Claws are worn across the chest, keeping them in a comfortable and quickly accessible position. If you go through the ice, you can reach them immediately without fumbling through pockets or searching for gear.

The design features two sturdy picks connected by a cord. The cord length is adjustable, allowing you to set the Ice Claws to a length that suits your body and your clothing. This means they sit correctly whether you are wearing a light jacket or a bulky winter suit, and they stay within easy reach at all times.

Wearing the Ice Claws across the chest is the recommended method, as it keeps the picks in front of you where you can grab them instantly. The picks are intended to dig into the ice surface, giving you the purchase needed to haul yourself out of the water and back onto solid ice.

These ice picks are a compact and lightweight addition to your winter fishing gear. They take up very little space and add almost no weight, so there is no reason not to carry them whenever you venture onto frozen water. For anyone who enjoys ice fishing, the Rapala Ice Claws are a practical and sensible safety accessory that belongs in every tackle bag.
