Jackall Chubby 41F SSR Silent LT 5.5g Floating Crankbait Chub Lure

Jackall Chubby 41F SSR Silent LT is one of the best and most renowned lures for chub fishing. The colour range for this model was developed specifically for the Lithuanian market, reflecting the local forage and water conditions that chub encounter. Japanese manufacturer Jackall is known for its impeccably made spinning lures, and the Chubby family has earned a strong following among anglers who target wary fish in rivers and streams.

The Chubby 41F SSR Silent LT weighs 5.5 g and features a compact, rounded body that casts remarkably well for its size. The SSR designation indicates a shallow-running floating crankbait, and the Silent version has no internal rattle, making it completely quiet in the water. This can be a real advantage when fish are pressured or cautious, as the absence of noise allows a more subtle presentation.

The 41F SSR is very stable in current. Even when retrieved through the fastest riffles, it tracks reliably without rolling over or losing its action. This stability makes it a practical choice for fishing moving water, where a lure that holds its line and depth gives the angler more control and confidence.

The colours are natural, imitating various insects and small aquatic creatures that form a favourite part of the chub's diet. The floating design and shallow diving depth of approximately 0.1 m mean the lure works close to the surface, ideal for shallow runs, glides and areas where chub are actively feeding.

Although the Chubby 41F SSR is strongly associated with chub, its compact profile and natural action also attract perch, pike and other predators. It is a versatile small crankbait that suits light spinning tackle and can be used in a range of river and stillwater situations.
