Pontoon21 CrackJack 78SP-SR 78mm 10.6g Suspending Minnow Lure Salmon Sea Trout

The Pontoon21 CrackJack 78SP-SR is a high-quality suspending minnow lure with the size, proportions, casting performance and current stability ideally suited to salmon and sea trout fishing in rivers.

At 78 mm long and 10.6 g, the lure provides an excellent balance between visibility and versatility. It creates a clearly defined baitfish profile while remaining compact enough for use in rivers of different sizes and varying current conditions.

One of its key features is the MFB (Magnetic Force Balance) system. During the cast, the internal balancing weight moves towards the rear of the lure, helping it fly more consistently and providing long, accurate casting performance. This is particularly useful when targeting distant current seams or precise holding areas.

The SR (Shallow Runner) version is designed to work higher in the water column. It is particularly effective in shallow, faster-flowing sections of rivers, where salmon and sea trout may hold in strong current but a deeper-running lure would be difficult to control.

The CrackJack remains stable in flowing water and can be worked across the current, downstream or at different angles to the flow. Adjusting rod position and retrieve speed allows excellent control over the lure's path.

It has an effective natural action on a steady retrieve but also responds extremely well to twitching, short jerks and Stop & Go retrieves, making it highly adaptable to changing fish activity.

Its suspending (SP) action allows the lure to remain in the working water layer during pauses, keeping it in a productive area for longer and giving following fish additional time to strike.
