Pontoon21 Tabatao 50F-SSR 55mm 11.3g Floating Lure for Chub & Stream Fishing

Pontoon21 Tabatao 50F-SSR is one of the latest innovations from Pontoon21, a shallow-running floating lure that combines an original body construction with a distinctive noise chamber and a carefully arranged internal weighting system. It is designed for anglers who demand long casting performance and reliable action, even in demanding conditions.

The noise chamber is shaped like a spherical steel capsule and contains three metal balls of different sizes that move freely inside it. This creates a continuous rattle and vibration as the lure is retrieved, helping to attract fish in coloured water or low-light conditions. The internal weight layout also contributes to the lure's stable flight and swimming behaviour.

Although the Tabatao is slightly larger than a typical chub lure, its profile and action make it highly appealing to chub and other predatory fish. The 50F-SSR version is a floating model with a shallow running depth of 0.2 to 0.4 m, making it ideal for fishing close to the surface, over shallow runs, riffles and along the edges of weed beds.

The lure casts exceptionally well, maintaining distance even when fishing into a strong headwind. In the water it remains stable, including when fished in current, so it can be used effectively in rivers as well as stillwaters. The body is fitted with two sharp treble hooks for reliable hooking.

Manufactured in Japan, the Pontoon21 Tabatao 50F-SSR is available in a range of proven colour patterns. Whether you are targeting chub on a small river or casting for other surface-oriented predators, this lure offers a combination of long-casting ability, shallow running depth and attractive acoustic signalling.

Available colours: 008, 072, 081, 877, 878, A11, A12, A15.
