Not a day goes by when tens of thousands of fishermen around the world go fishing armed with Fox International products. With the Fox,Matrix, Specialist, Predator and Fox Rage brands, Fox International is firmly established as one of Europe's leading tackle manufacturers.
The company originated in Essex, UK, where Cliff Fox introduced his first angling product, Fox International, a metal ruler showing the size limits of certain species caught during UK matches (where anglers had to fish within the size limit rules). Sales of the product were good and encouraged Cliff to expand into other products from his small rented workshop, which was close to the company's previous headquarters in Hainault, Essex.
The first product bearing the Fox name was produced in 1967. The company soon outgrew its original rental shop, forcing Cliff to move to new premises. The company continued to grow in the years following the move to the UK headquarters and was forced to open a large European distribution plant in Meer, on the Belgian-Netherlands border, without Hainault's offices. Fast forward to 2015 and the team has grown into a strong team of fisheries consultants across Europe.
In recent years, along with a move to new headquarters in Brentwood, Essex, the company has continued to go from strength to strength and now sells more than 3,000 products in over 30 countries, including the USA, Japan and Russia. "Fox's portfolio of brands includes many flagship products, helping to reinforce its strong reputation for innovation and quality.
