The line is coated with a fluorocarbon finish, which is intended to improve the durability of the line and help it withstand the abrasion that occurs around gravel, stones, weed stems and other underwater obstacles. This coating supports the line's performance in demanding swims where a standard uncoated monofilament might deteriorate more quickly.
