Daiwa 23 Ninja LT 1000-6000 Spinning Reel 4BB Tough Digigear Front Drag

Daiwa 23 Ninja LT is the 2023 update to one of the most popular reel series in the Daiwa range, offering anglers a refined, lightweight and versatile fixed-spool reel suitable for a wide variety of freshwater and light saltwater fishing. The LT (Light and Tough) concept behind this model focuses on reducing overall weight without sacrificing the strength and durability that Daiwa reels are known for.

Compared with the previous generation, the 23 Ninja LT has been further slimmed down, with a noticeably lighter body and a redesigned, thinner bail. This makes the reel feel more balanced on modern lightweight rods and reduces fatigue during long sessions, whether you are casting repeatedly for predators or trotting a float down a river.

The reel is built around a Tough Digigear gear system, a technology normally reserved for Daiwa's higher-end models. This digitally engineered gearing provides smooth, efficient power transfer and contributes to the long-term durability of the reel, even under regular use. The lightweight rotor further enhances the smoothness of the retrieve and helps the reel start up easily under load.

Inside every size in the range you will find 4 ball bearings, which support the main shaft and rotor for a consistently smooth rotation. An anti-reverse system ensures a solid, immediate hook set with no backward play, giving you confidence when striking into fish.

The TwistBuster line roller is designed to reduce line twist, a common problem with fixed-spool reels that can lead to tangles and weakened line. Combined with the cross-wrap line lay system, which lays the line evenly across the spool, this helps to improve casting distance and line management, particularly when using braid or fine monofilament.

The 23 Ninja LT is a genuinely versatile series. The smaller sizes, such as 1000 and 2000, are ideal for float fishing, ultralight spinning and finesse approaches, while the larger 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 sizes are well suited to feeder fishing, bottom fishing and general spinning for larger species. This makes the range a practical choice for anglers who want a single reel family to cover multiple techniques.

Available in a wide selection of sizes and gear ratios, including 1000, 2000, 2500, 2500XH, 3000CXH, 4000C, 4000CP, 5000C and 6000, there is a 23 Ninja LT to suit almost any rod and fishing style. The XH and CXH variants offer a faster retrieve for techniques that require speed, while the C and CP versions provide additional line capacity for bigger waters.

Whether you are a newcomer looking for a reliable first reel or an experienced angler wanting a dependable backup, the Daiwa 23 Ninja LT combines modern Daiwa technology with a lightweight, balanced design at an accessible level.
