The Sportex Rapid RS-2 Heavy Distance is a premium three-piece heavy feeder rod from the world-renowned German manufacturer Sportex, specifically designed for extreme casting distances and precision feeder fishing. This model is ideal for large lakes and rivers where heavy feeders and maximum casting accuracy are required.

The blank is constructed from high-quality Japanese carbon fibre, delivering excellent sensitivity, fast recovery after casting and impressive power reserves when fighting larger fish. Its progressive action absorbs hard lunges smoothly while maintaining superb control throughout the fight.

This rod offers excellent versatility and performs perfectly with medium to heavy feeders in a wide range of fishing conditions. The balanced construction feels equally comfortable when targeting bream or controlling powerful carp.

The key feature of this model is its specially designed distance-casting guide system. It uses slim SiC Long Cast guides with a large 40 mm butt guide, helping reduce line friction and optimise line flow during casting. This allows anglers to achieve longer and more accurate casts while maintaining excellent control.

The modern reel seat securely holds the reel in place, while the ergonomic Duplon handle provides excellent comfort during repeated powerful casts.

Included are three solid carbon quiver tips in 2.0 oz, 3.0 oz and 4.0 oz, allowing precise adaptation to different fishing conditions and excellent bite indication.

Sportex also provides an impressive 10-year blank warranty.
