Assist Specialist Single Hooks for Pike Lures – Assist Cord Fluorocarbon Size 8

Assist Specialist Single Hooks for Pike Lures are purpose-built replacement hooks for pike lures, supplied in packs of two. They are designed for anglers who want a reliable, fish-friendly alternative to standard treble hooks on jerkbaits, swimbaits and other pike lures.

Each hook is constructed from stiff, long-lasting Assist Cord with a fluorocarbon core. This combination gives the hook a rigid, durable structure that resists bending even under heavy pressure, so the hook holds its shape when a fish makes a powerful run or when you are forcing the pace during the fight. The result is a hook that stays true and keeps its grip, reducing the chance of a fish straightening the hook and escaping.

The elastic loop is a key feature of the design. It absorbs some of the shock and movement during the fight, which helps to reduce the likelihood of the hook pulling free. This is particularly useful when fishing for pike, where head shakes and sudden surges can otherwise work a hook loose.

Because these are single hooks, they are far less prone to snagging on bottom structure, weed and other obstacles than treble hooks. That makes them a practical choice for fishing around snags, over weed beds or in any swim where a treble hook would constantly catch. Fewer snags means less time re-rigging and more time fishing effectively.

The hooks are available in a range of sizes, allowing you to match the hook to the size of your lure and the fishing situation. The size 8 option is listed here, and other sizes can be selected where available.

These assist hooks are suitable for pike lure fishing, including jerkbait and swimbait presentations, and are a sensible upgrade for anglers who want a strong, durable hook that is less likely to snag and less likely to lose fish.
