Salmo Elite Sinkmaster 30m Sinking Monofilament Line Clear Ice Fishing

Salmo Elite Sinkmaster 30m is a sinking monofilament line developed for anglers who need a dependable, low-memory line in cold conditions. Supplied on a compact 30 m spool, it is aimed primarily at ice fishing, where controlled sink rate and reliable knot behaviour matter more than long casting distance.

The line is built from monofilament with a sinking character, so it cuts through the water instead of floating on the surface. This helps baits and jigs reach the desired depth quickly and keeps the line sitting below the ice, where it is less affected by wind and surface drift. The low memory construction means the line tends to come off the spool straighter, which reduces coils and tangles when fishing with small, light presentations.

The clear finish is a practical advantage in the clear, heavily pressured waters typical of winter fishing. Because the line is difficult for fish to see, it can be used with confidence when targeting wary species under the ice. The same low-visibility property makes it a sensible choice for hooklengths and leaders during the open-water season.

Although the Salmo Elite Sinkmaster is best known as an ice fishing line, its sinking nature and discreet appearance make it a versatile option for summer rigs as well. Anglers can use it for short hooklengths when fishing with floats, feeders or light ledger rigs, where a sinking, unobtrusive line helps present a bait naturally.

The line is available in a range of diameters from 0.08 mm to 0.20 mm, allowing anglers to match the line to the size of fish expected and the conditions on the day. Finer diameters suit small jigs, micro lures and delicate baits, while the heavier diameters offer more security when larger fish are likely.

With its 30 m spool length, the Salmo Elite Sinkmaster is a convenient size for keeping in a tackle box, refilling small reels or tying up a supply of hooklengths before a session. It is a straightforward, practical line for ice anglers and for anyone who values a sinking, low-visibility monofilament.
