Spinwal Surfstrand Leader 40cm Steel Trace 1x19 Strands 12kg Pike Perch

Spinwal Surfstrand Leader 40cm is a very strong steel trace designed for demanding predator fishing. Built from 1x19 strand steel wire, it delivers the abrasion resistance and bite protection that toothy predators such as pike demand, while remaining supple enough for natural lure presentation.

The 1x19 strand construction is a proven wire configuration in which nineteen individual strands are twisted together to form a single, dense and highly cut-resistant trace. This makes the Surfstrand Leader a dependable choice when fishing around sharp teeth, rough structures or snags where a standard monofilament or fluorocarbon leader could be severed.

At 40cm in length, the trace offers a practical balance between protection and handling. It is long enough to keep the main line safely away from a predator's teeth during the fight, yet short enough to cast cleanly and to be stored easily on a trace board or in a tackle box.

The trace is available in a 12kg breaking strain version, giving anglers a strong option for targeting pike, perch and trout. The 12kg rating provides a good safety margin for medium to large predators without being unnecessarily heavy for the intended quarry.

Thanks to its steel construction and reliable strength, the Surfstrand Leader is well suited to pike, perch and trout fishing. It performs particularly well in lure fishing presentations where a bite-resistant leader is essential, and it can be used with a wide range of spinning lures, spoons and soft plastics.

Whether you are fishing weedy margins, rocky drop-offs or open water, the Spinwal Surfstrand Leader 40cm offers a straightforward, no-nonsense solution for anglers who need a strong steel trace they can rely on.
