iBite Cigar Neon Illuminated Sliding Float 3-8g 25cm Balsa Coarse Fishing

iBite Cigar Neon Illuminated Sliding Float is a specialist night-fishing float designed to keep your bait presentation visible and controlled long after daylight fades. Built around a balsa wood body, it combines a naturally buoyant, responsive material with a robust finish that stands up to repeated use on the bank.

The body is constructed from balsa wood, a traditional float-making material valued for its light weight and lively behaviour in the water. Because balsa is naturally buoyant, the float sits and reacts efficiently, while the denser outer finish helps protect the body from knocks, abrasion and the general wear that comes with regular sessions. The result is a float that feels solid in the hand and remains dependable over many trips.

Inside the float is an LED antenna that can be switched on and off as required during the session. This means you are not committed to a glowing float for the whole trip: you can fish it unlit in daylight or low light, then activate the illumination when conditions demand it. The light runs for approximately 40 hours, giving you plenty of fishing time from a single set of batteries and making the float a practical choice for long evening sessions, overnight trips and dawn starts.

The antenna emits a bright green glow that is highly visible against dark water. Green is a particularly effective colour for night visibility because it stands out clearly without being harsh on the eyes, allowing you to track the float's movement and spot subtle bites even in complete darkness. This makes the Cigar Neon especially useful for anglers fishing into the night or targeting species that feed most confidently after dark.

As a sliding float, the Cigar Neon is designed to run freely on the main line, which allows you to fish at greater depths than a fixed float would permit. The float can be stopped at the required depth using a float stop, so you can adjust your presentation quickly as you explore different layers of the water. This makes it a versatile option for a range of stillwater and slow-moving water situations where depth control matters.

The float measures 25 cm in length and is available in a choice of weights: 3 g, 4 g, 5 g, 6 g and 8 g. The lighter models suit calmer conditions and more delicate presentations, while the heavier versions offer greater stability and casting weight when conditions are less settled or when you need to fish further out. Choosing the right weight for the conditions helps the float sit correctly and behave predictably.

With its illuminated antenna, balsa construction and sliding design, the iBite Cigar Neon is well suited to night fishing, dusk and dawn sessions, and any situation where a visible, controllable float is an advantage. It is a practical addition to the tackle box for anglers who like to keep fishing when the light drops.
