Mepps Aglia Tiger Spinner Lure VMC Treble Hook 3.5g-13g Pike Perch Trout

Mepps Aglia Tiger is a premium inline spinner from the legendary French manufacturer Mepps, a name trusted by anglers worldwide for producing high-quality metal lures. The Aglia Tiger is built around a special copper alloy body and a gold mirror-finish blade, decorated with Brite pigments for an intense, long-lasting colour flash. As the blade rotates through the water it creates a powerful burst of colour and vibration that triggers the predatory instincts of pike, perch, trout and other game fish.

The Mepps Aglia range has earned its reputation through decades of consistent performance. The Tiger variant stands out thanks to its distinctive striped pattern, which combines a gold mirror blade with dark tiger-style markings. This contrast produces a strong visual signal even in coloured or low-light water, making it a reliable choice when fish are reluctant to commit to plain silver or gold blades.

The body is made from a special copper alloy, a material chosen for its density and corrosion resistance. This gives the spinner a compact, weight-forward profile that casts well and sinks predictably, allowing you to work it at different depths by simply adjusting your retrieve speed or counting down after the cast.

Colour intensity is achieved using modern Brite pigments applied over the gold mirror blade. These pigments are designed to stay vivid after repeated exposure to water, sunlight and the abrasive mouths of predatory fish. The result is a lure that keeps its fish-attracting flash over many sessions rather than fading quickly like cheaper painted blades.

Each Mepps Aglia Tiger is fitted with a sharp VMC treble hook. VMC is a well-known French hook manufacturer, and their treble hooks are widely respected for their sharp points and reliable wire strength. This gives you confidence that when a fish takes the spinner, the hook will find a hold and stay put during the fight.

The Aglia Tiger is available in five sizes, covering a wide range of fishing situations. Size 1 at 3.5 g and size 2 at 4.5 g are ideal for light spinning for perch, trout and chub in rivers and small stillwaters. Size 3 at 6.5 g and size 4 at 9 g suit general spinning for pike, perch and trout in medium waters. Size 5 at 13 g is a heavier option for targeting larger pike and for casting into wind or covering more water from the bank.

Because the Aglia Tiger is a classic inline spinner, it can be fished with a simple steady retrieve, a stop-and-go action, or a lift-and-drop technique near structure. It works well in rivers, canals, lakes and reservoirs, and is equally effective when cast from the bank or worked from a boat. Whether you are a beginner building a small spinner box or an experienced angler looking for a proven fish-catcher, the Mepps Aglia Tiger is a dependable addition to your tackle.
