Pro FL Tungsten Paste Soft Tungsten Rig Putty for Carp Fishing Leaders

Pro FL Tungsten Paste "Soft Tungsten" is a specialist rig putty designed for carp and bottom fishing, allowing anglers to add controlled weight directly to leaders and hooklinks. Its soft, mouldable consistency makes it easy to apply and shape, helping leaders sit tight to the lakebed for a more natural presentation.

One of the key uses of this tungsten paste is to pin down leaders and hooklinks when fishing with a bottom or feeder setup. By adding small amounts of putty along the leader, the line can be made to follow the contours of the bottom more closely, reducing the chance of fish being spooked by line sitting off the deck. This is particularly useful on pressured venues where carp and other wary species have learned to avoid visible or lifted rig components.

The paste is also ideal for fine-tuning the buoyancy of Pop Up boilies. A small amount of putty can be added to the hook or hooklink to adjust how the bait sits, allowing anglers to achieve a critically balanced presentation or to slow the rise of a Pop Up. This level of control is valuable when matching the rig to the feeding behaviour of the fish on the day.

Soft and highly adhesive, the paste grips well to leaders, hooklinks and rig components, staying in place during casting and while fishing. It can be moulded into different shapes and sizes, giving anglers flexibility in how much weight they add and where they position it. The putty is easy to work with in the hand and can be adjusted or removed as conditions change.

Available in three colours, the paste can be matched to the lakebed or to the rig components being used. Black is a versatile all-round choice, brown blends well with natural silt and mud, and dark green suits venues with weed or darker bottoms. Choosing a colour that complements the fishing situation helps maintain a low-visibility presentation.

This tungsten paste is a practical addition to any carp angler's tackle box, whether fishing bottom baits, Pop Ups or balanced hookbaits. It is suitable for use on leaders, hooklinks and rigs where small, adjustable amounts of weight are needed. The paste is supplied in a handy tub for easy storage and application bankside.
