Lucky Craft Gunfish 117 Topwater Lure 11.7cm 19g Floating Walk the Dog

Lucky Craft Gunfish 117 is a premium Japanese topwater walking lure designed for anglers who demand long casting distance and a highly attractive surface action. With its slender, tapered body, this lure cuts through the air with remarkable efficiency, allowing you to reach fish that other surface lures simply cannot touch. Once on the water, the Gunfish 117 produces the classic Walk the Dog action, swinging side to side with a rhythmic, enticing motion that triggers aggressive strikes from predatory fish.

The secret to its effectiveness lies in the concave face at the front of the body. This carefully engineered feature allows the lure to draw fish from a considerable distance by creating a distinctive gurgling sound and a small spray of water with each twitch of the rod tip. This acoustic and visual disturbance mimics the activity of a distressed baitfish, making it irresistible to bass, pike, and other surface-feeding predators.

This surface disturbance is particularly valuable in windy conditions. When the water surface is choppy, the subtle sliding action of many topwater lures becomes difficult for fish to detect. The Gunfish 117, however, continues to produce a strong, noisy wake that remains highly visible and audible to predators even in rough conditions, giving you a distinct advantage when the weather turns.

The lure is equipped with three sharp treble hooks, ensuring a reliable hookset when a fish commits to the strike. The hooks are positioned to maintain the lure's balance and action while providing excellent hooking potential. Whether you are targeting surface-active fish in freshwater or saltwater, the Gunfish 117 is built to perform.

As a floating lure, the Gunfish 117 stays on the surface when paused, allowing you to fish it with a variety of retrieves. You can work it with a steady walk-the-dog cadence, a stop-and-go retrieve, or a rapid twitching action to find what triggers the fish on any given day. Its 117mm length and 19g weight make it a versatile size that can be cast accurately with a wide range of spinning rods.

Available in a selection of proven colour patterns, including Aurora Black, Pearl Threadfin Shad, BE Gill, BP Golden Shiner, Flake Flake Male Gill, MS American Shad, Ghost Minnow, Aurora BlackFlake Flake Golden Sun Fish, Chartreuse Shad, Bone Shad, Ghost Threadfin Shad, MS MJ Herring, and Sexy Mama, there is a Gunfish 117 to match the baitfish in your local waters.
