Humminbird Helix 5 DI G2 - the new G2 series. Updated with simpler controls and new faster software. Excellent 800H x 480V, 5" 256-colour backlit display. DualBeam Plus sonar on the Humminbird Helix 5 DI G2 provides the basic features you need, while the SwitchFire sonar function further enhances the view. The key difference from the Humminbird Helix 5 Sonar G2 is the DownImaging Sonar (DI), which gives you a very clear view of the feeder, with a picture-perfect view of different objects. See under your boat with the eyes of a "fish", the high frequency waves display unique images. Scanning capabilities are available at speeds up to 30mph (48km/h), but the best and sharpest images are at speeds down to 1-6mph (2-9km/h).

DI - DownImaging sonar - bright, clear imaging of the feeder and the stationary objects on it (rocks, branches, other submerged objects). The image is extremely clear, like a picture.
DualBeam Plus sonar is also a dual-band sonar and is available on all Humminbird sonars except the PiranhaMAX series. The sonar frequencies and area covered are 200/83 kHz covering 20° and 60° respectively.
SwitchFire sonar - see what you want to see. You can switch on or off the scan filters you want. Humminbird SwitchFire sonar also has two main options on the sonar - Clear mode and Max mode.
Clear mode - special filtering of objects on the surface of the water, to see the largest objects in the water with no small interference from nearby objects, the structure of the feeder (image left).
Max mode - see everything, the feeder structure, objects on the surface, on the feeder, all over the water. You can also clearly see the movement of the lure.
