Carp Expert Neo Distance 9000 Carp Reel Long Cast Big Pit 6+1 BB

Carp Expert Neo Distance 9000 is a robust, powerful carp reel built for anglers who need to reach distant spots. Whether you are fishing large gravel pits, expansive reservoirs or any venue where the fish often hold well beyond comfortable casting range, this reel is designed to help you put a bait out there and keep it there.

The body is constructed from lightweight yet strong graphite, a material choice that keeps the overall weight of the reel manageable without sacrificing rigidity. A stiff, well-built body is important on a long-range carp reel because it resists flexing under the load of a powerful cast and during the fight itself, so the internal components stay properly aligned and the reel continues to run smoothly over many sessions.

One of the defining features of the Neo Distance 9000 is its large spool. A big diameter spool does two useful things at once: it holds a generous amount of line, and it reduces the number of coils the line has to come off during the cast. The result is less friction as the line peels away, which in practice supports longer, smoother casts. The large spool also means the line is retrieved quickly, with one turn of the handle picking up approximately 1 metre of line – a real advantage when you need to bring a rig back in, reposition, or tighten up at range without wasting time.

Inside the reel you will find large, powerful drag discs that give the braking system genuine authority. For carp fishing this matters a great deal: a strong, progressive drag lets you apply pressure when you need to turn a fish away from snags or weed, while still giving line smoothly when a fish makes a sudden run. The drag is designed to deliver consistent stopping power rather than a jerky, on-off feel.

The reel runs on a 6+1 bearing system. The additional bearings help the rotor and handle turn with very little resistance, so winding feels light and fluid even when you are retrieving a heavy lead or playing a hard-fighting fish. Smooth running also reduces wear on the internal parts and contributes to the overall longevity of the reel.

Practical details have not been overlooked. A metal line clip is fitted to the spool, allowing you to clip up accurately and cast to the same distance repeatedly – an essential technique for baiting campaigns and for fishing to a feature at range. Beneath the spool there is also a special anti-tangle mechanism designed to prevent the line from slipping under the spool and wrapping around the axis, a common annoyance on lesser reels that can cost you fish and tackle.

In short, the Carp Expert Neo Distance 9000 combines a lightweight graphite body, a large line-hungry spool, a powerful drag and smooth 6+1 bearing operation into a reel aimed squarely at the long-range carp angler. It is a sensible choice for anyone who regularly fishes big waters and wants a reel that can cast far, retrieve quickly and fight hard.
