Custom Baltic Match Float Rod 3.90/4.20m 5-25g 3pc 24T Carbon Coarse Fishing

Custom Baltic Match Float Rod is a dedicated float fishing rod designed for anglers who demand precision, control and reliable performance on stillwaters and slow-moving rivers. Available in 3.90 m and 4.20 m lengths, this three-piece rod combines a manageable transport length with the reach needed for effective float presentation at range.

The rod is built on a 24T carbon fibre blank, a material choice that keeps overall weight low while providing the responsiveness required for accurate casting and confident strike detection. The medium action offers a balanced bend curve that absorbs the lunges of hard-fighting fish without feeling overly stiff when playing smaller catches.

With a casting weight of 5-25 g, the Custom Baltic Match is well suited to a wide range of float setups, from light waggler rigs to slightly heavier slider or stick float presentations. This versatility makes it a practical choice for mixed coarse fisheries where conditions and target species can change throughout the session.

The rod features 13 guides positioned to support a smooth line flow along the blank. This guide count helps reduce line slap and contributes to more efficient casting, particularly when using lighter monofilament or braided main lines. The reliable reel seat holds the reel securely in place, minimising movement under load and ensuring consistent alignment during the cast and retrieve.

A hook keeper above the reel seat provides a convenient and safe place to secure the hook when moving between swims or packing away. This small but practical detail helps protect both the hook point and the rod finish, and keeps rigs tidy during transport.

The cork handle offers a traditional feel with a comfortable grip that performs well in wet conditions. Cork remains a popular choice among float anglers for its warm, non-slip surface and its ability to dampen vibration, which can help when feeling for subtle bites.

At 135 cm transport length, the rod breaks down into three sections that are easy to carry in a rod holdall or quiver. This makes it suitable for anglers who travel light, walk long distances to pegs or need a rod that stores conveniently in a vehicle.

Available in two lengths, the Custom Baltic Match is aimed at float fishing for species such as roach, rudd, perch, bream and tench in lakes, ponds, canals and slow rivers. Its medium action and balanced specification make it a dependable all-round float rod for both pleasure sessions and match-style fishing.
