Handmade Phosphorescent Smelt Rig KK Avižėlė Size 8 Kamatsu Hooks 1.9cm

Handmade Phosphorescent Smelt Rig KK is a Lithuanian-made, multi-coloured smelt fishing rig designed for anglers who target smelt through the ice or in low-light conditions. Each rig is assembled by hand, giving it a level of finish and attention to detail that mass-produced alternatives often lack.

The rig is built around a phosphorescent body that glows brightly in the dark. This is a major advantage when fishing for smelt, as these fish are often most active during dawn, dusk or at night. The luminous finish ensures the rig remains visible and attractive to fish even when natural light is minimal, helping to trigger more bites in challenging conditions.

Equipped with sharp and strong size 8 Kamatsu hooks, the KK rig is designed to convert every smelt bite into a landed fish. Kamatsu is a well-known name in fishing hooks, and the size 8 pattern offers an excellent balance between holding power and the small profile needed for smelt fishing. The hooks are securely attached to the rig, ensuring they stay in place during aggressive takes.

The multi-coloured, bright finish is not only visually appealing but also highly effective. The vivid colours are chosen to stand out in the water, and combined with the phosphorescent properties, they create a lure that remains noticeable in murky water or at depth. The colours are durable and will not fade quickly, maintaining their fish-attracting qualities over repeated use.

With a total length of 1.9 cm including the hook, this rig is perfectly sized for smelt. It is compact enough to be taken confidently by even cautious fish, yet substantial enough to be fished effectively on light tackle. The small size also makes it suitable for other small predatory fish that feed on similar prey.

This rig is ideal for ice fishing and open-water fishing for smelt. It can be used with a variety of bait or as a standalone lure, depending on local regulations and angler preference. The phosphorescent glow can be charged quickly with a torch or natural light, ensuring it is ready to fish whenever you are.

Whether you are a seasoned smelt angler or new to the pursuit, the Handmade Phosphorescent Smelt Rig KK offers a reliable, high-quality option that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern materials. Its bright colours, long-lasting glow and sharp Kamatsu hooks make it a valuable addition to any smelt angler's tackle box.
