Akara Ice Jig Compact is a very versatile rod with an integrated keeper. The handle is made of EVA material and the reel is secured with plastic rings. Two parts for easy transport. The hardness of the rod will make it easy to stir up the fish and the softness of the guard will make it easy to see all the strikes. As the guard is integrated the line will not catch on additional protruding parts when fishing. The rod is equipped with large diameter rings. The guard is also equipped with large rings, so that they do not need to be cleaned frequently from ice build-up on colder winter days. The second part of the blank is flat and tapers towards the end. Ideal for fishing with glitter, pendulums and sinkers. With the right guard hardness this rod can be used as a winter feeder or for sturgeon.
