VMC Rattling Roach Spoon 5.3g Ice Fishing Lure 5cm Pike Perch Zander Jig

VMC Rattling Roach Spoon 5.3g is a specialised ice fishing spoon designed to trigger strikes from predatory fish even in the coldest, most pressured waters. Its standout feature is an internal rattle chamber fitted with small shot that produces a distinct acoustic signature on every jig, drawing fish in from a distance and helping them home in on the lure in low-visibility conditions.

The body measures 5 cm and weighs 5.3 g, making it a compact, dense spoon that sinks quickly and holds a tight, vibrating action on the lift-and-drop retrieve. This profile is ideal for vertical jigging through the ice, where a small, heavy lure is needed to reach depth fast and stay in the strike zone.

The tail section is dressed with feathers, which add movement and bulk without sacrificing hook exposure. Concealed beneath the dressing is a very sharp VMC treble hook, so when a fish commits to the lure, the hook point is already in position. The feather dressing also softens the lure's silhouette on the pause, giving cautious fish a little more time to close in.

Holographic eyes and a range of fish-catching painted finishes increase the lure's visual appeal. The reflective eye and the painted patterns create flash and contrast underwater, which is particularly effective under ice or in stained water where light penetration is limited. The range includes glow finishes that remain visible in low-light conditions, as well as natural patterns such as Perch and Shiner for clear-water situations.

This spoon is suited to anglers targeting perch, pike, zander and other predatory species through the ice, and it also works as a small casting or vertical jigging lure in open water when a compact, rattling presentation is required. The combination of rattle, feather tail and sharp VMC treble makes it a versatile addition to a cold-water lure box.
