Phosphorescent Smelt Rig Lure 2.5cm 0.35g Glow Hook for Smelt Ice Fishing

Phosphorescent Smelt Rig Lure is a specialised terminal tackle item designed for smelt fishing. This small, luminous lure is built around a phosphorescent body that glows brightly in the dark, making it highly visible to smelt even in low-light conditions, murky water or under ice. The lure is supplied with sharp hooks, ready to be attached to your rig and fished effectively straight from the packet.

Smelt are often targeted in deep or coloured water where natural light penetration is limited. The phosphorescent finish on this lure absorbs light and then emits a visible glow, which can help attract fish and trigger bites when conventional lures are difficult for fish to locate. This makes the lure a practical choice for sessions at dawn, dusk, night or through the ice.

The lure measures 2.5 cm in length and weighs just 0.35 g. Its compact, lightweight profile allows it to be presented naturally on light tackle, and it can be used as part of a smelt rig, a sabiki-style setup or a simple single-hook rig. The sharp hooks are intended to provide reliable hook holds when smelt investigate the glowing presentation.

Because of its small size and low weight, this lure is best suited to balanced light gear. It can be fished vertically from a boat or pier, jigged slowly, or suspended in the strike zone. The phosphorescent body is the key feature: by charging it with a torch or natural light before use, anglers can maximise its glow and keep the lure visible throughout the session.

This is a specialist smelt lure rather than a general-purpose predator lure. It is aimed at anglers who target smelt specifically and want a bright, compact, ready-rigged option that is easy to carry and quick to deploy. Whether you are fishing from a boat, a jetty or through ice, the phosphorescent smelt rig lure offers a simple and effective way to present a glowing baitfish imitation.
